The Work Process
We understand it’s not always convenient to have someone come and cause a disruption during a project. With this in mind, we will try our best to treat your home as though it were ours. Case in point, during a complete kitchen cabinet and countertop project in our house we did our best to make the kitchen usable through many weeks of waiting for materials to arrive.
We’ve tackled various types of projects in our homes, sometimes for the very first time (thank goodness for YouTube and the internet). Actually, we like the challenge. So we’ll be honest with you with your project, but to give you an idea of some of the work we’ve done, please see our recent projects below (and an extended list at the bottom of the page).
Bathroom Vanity and Tile
This bathroom had cracked and yellowed tile flooring. The trick was to avoid taking up the old tiles, so a cement-like substrate was put over it as a base for the new tiles. After removing the toilet and the old vanity, the new tiles went down smoothly. See the before-after shots.
Deck Table and Cable
We have a narrow deck so a table on the deck took up too much space and was hard to maneuver around. We call this the “Bar” (it even has a foot-rail!). And for safety (and aesthetics) we added the cables instead of the previous wood slats. Our dog is much happier now!
Laminate Flooring
If your current flooring needs updating (even if it has carpeting, tiles, or vinyl), laminate flooring can usually replace or be placed on top of it. They click into place with tongue-and-groove, and “float” over your subfloor.. Today’s laminate flooring look and feel like wood, but generally hold up better with no maintenance.
Backsplash & Wall Tiling
Choose your tiling, and after a little prep work (unless wallpaper needs removing – ugg!), your walls are transformed with tiling.
